Last updated 1 October 2026 Privacy policy

TrueLevel Shades (ABN 58 666 939 117) supplies and installs outdoor blinds and roller shutters across the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have a question about anything here, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote and complete your job:

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and suburb.
  • Job details: the address where the work is to be done, measurements, photographs of the openings, and what you have told us you want.
  • Correspondence: emails, SMS, and notes from phone calls or site visits.
  • Website and advertising data: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies when analytics or advertising tools are switched on.

We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

How we collect it

  • Quote and enquiry forms on this website.
  • Instant forms on advertising platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, where you submit your details without leaving the app.
  • Directly from you by phone, SMS, email or at a site visit.
  • Automatically through analytics and advertising cookies while you browse, where these are in use.

Why we use it

  • To prepare and send you a quote, and to arrange a free measure.
  • To order, manufacture and install your blinds or shutters.
  • To follow up an enquiry, answer questions, and provide warranty or after-sales service.
  • To improve this website and understand which advertising is working.

We may send you follow-up messages about a quote you have asked for. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to an SMS, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us directly.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to do the work or run the business:

  • Manufacturers and suppliers: to have your product made to your measurements.
  • Service providers: the platforms we use for our website, email, SMS, customer records and scheduling. These providers may store data outside Australia.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms: Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), as described below.
  • Where the law requires it: for example, in response to a lawful request.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website may use Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel to measure how the site is used and which ads lead to enquiries. These services set cookies and may collect a device identifier and approximate location.

If you submit an instant form on Facebook or Instagram, the details you provide are passed to us by Meta, and Meta’s own privacy policy applies to the information they hold about you.

You can control this. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

How we store and protect it

Your information is held in our email, customer records and scheduling systems, which are password protected and accessible only to people who need them to do their job. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our legal and warranty obligations, then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email or call us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge for making a request.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
